Abstract
Diode-laser measurements of CO 2 broadening of the 12C 16O 1←0 P4 line at high temperature are presented. A λ ( T s ) ( T s / T) N temperature dependence of line-widths is deduced from measurements in the 293–800 K range [λ( T s ) = 0.094 ± 0.001 cm -1-atm -1, N = 0.66 ± 0.05, T s = 293 K]. Calculations using the model proposed by Robert and Bonamy are compared with our results and other experimental studies.
