Abstract
“I have a very rich working life and am grateful for that”, says Dinesh Palipana, Registrar in the Emergency Department of the Gold Coast University Hospital in Southport, QLD, Australia. There he combines clinical work with research into spinal cord injury. Palipana is also an advocate for the rights of disabled people in academic medicine and wider society, including as a Senior Adviser to an Australian Disability Royal Commission into improving access rights for disabled people.
