Abstract
According to McGehee (1974) the singularities of total collision in the n-body problem are blown up and an invariant total collision manifold (Δ) is glued in its place. The equilibrium points on Δ are associated with the classes of central configurations: for each class, sc, there are two hyperbolic equilibrium points s c + (total ejection) and s c + (total collision).
