Abstract

A computation of the three-loop beta-function of the Wess-Zumino-Witten nonlinear sigma model is presented. Dimensional regularization and minimal subtraction are used in the calculation. A comparison of the result with the nonperturbative solution of Knizhnik and Zamolodchikov is made, and agreement is found. Our results verify one of the prescriptions for the dimensional regularization proposed recently.
