Abstract

ABSTRACT PROPER design of wafering equipment for cotton stalks requires studying the effect of the process parameters on the energy required and on the wafer den-sities inside the die under maximum load and outside the die after the load was released. Experiments were per-formed using the dimensional analysis approach to relate the process variables as well as the material properties to both densities and energy requirements. General correla-tion models are given and a discussion leading towards obtaining optimum wafering conditions is presented.
