Abstract
Water pollution resulting in the disruption of the ecosystem and rapidly abolishing sea life is one of the major problems that the world is facing in recent times. Water pollution is caused by many factors such as improper discharge of wastes, mining activities, foundries waste, animal waste, toxic dispose of factories, microfibers, uncontrolled construction waste, leaking sewer lines, accidental spills and leaks etc. Amongst the thousands of sea pollutants Microfiber is one which can be controlled if we behave in a little more mature manner. Every time we use our washing machine, hundreds of microfibers are flushed down into the drain making their way into the sea through the natural waterways and eventually entering into our food chain.
