Abstract
Digital libraries and e-learning (electronic learning) systems are the information retrieval systems of the modern information society of the 21st century. Modern digital libraries offer many opportunities in today's information infrastructure with their resources that can support e-learning. In the study, the interaction of digital library and e-learning in the digital age is examined on the basis of the concepts of digital library and e-learning. The aim of the study, which is based on the literature, is to explore the role that digital libraries play in e-learning. Within the scope of the study, the functions, functioning, advantages and disadvantages of digital libraries are addressed and discussed from the perspective of e-learning. The study findings point out the increasing role of digital libraries on e-learning with the facilitating effect of developments in information technologies.
