Cet article traite d'un projet ecossais rassemblant la Scottish Library, l'Information Council et la National Library of Scottland : il s'agit de la Scottish Newspaper Microfilming Unit dont le but principal est de conserver les 1700 tirres de periodiques qui existent en Ecosse. Le projet de numerisation des donnees qui se trouvent actuellement sur microfilms sur CD-ROM est etudie et discute
