Abstract

This paper gives a brief introduction to the heritage collection in India and Iran and notes the ongoing digital preservation in both countries. It investigates access and management of digital preservation of cultural heritage and some current projects in both nations. It discusses the problems faced by the libraries and museums in archiving and managing, preserving, and providing continuing access to these digital assets for their long-term management. And also discusses about technical, economic, language, technological issues in digital preservation with focus on both countries.
