Abstract

The article analyzes the current state of customs crime prevention. Customs crimes are separated into an independent group of illegal acts prosecuted under criminal law. The author, conducting a normative analysis, reveals the features of the legal regulation of crime prevention in the Russian Federation as a whole. The publication provides an expert assessment of the prospects for the introduction of information technologies in the activities of customs authorities and the possibility of their use for the prevention of customs crime. As a result, the author determines the main trend in the development of customs crime prevention and makes a forecast for its development, taking into account the aggravation of the geopolitical situation.
