Abstract

Xiong'An New Area insists on the simultaneous planning and construction of digital cities and real cities, to build a world-leading digital city. In the next 5 to 10 years, the 10kV switching substation in Xiong'An New Area will grow rapidly. In the traditional mode, many operation and maintenance personnel are required, and it is difficult to realize realtime perception and active early warning of equipment operation status. State Grid Xiong'An New District Power Supply Company and Schneider Electric have developed a digital twin system for intelligent switching substation, which uses real-time sensing data and 3D digital models to build a digital twin switching substation (Short as DTSS) in virtual space to realize remote inspection, online diagnosis, and full life cycle management. The system has been put into application in the new intelligent switching substation in Xiong'An New Area, which realizes full perception of switch station equipment, full transparency of information, and full penetration of management, which significantly improves the efficiency of operation and maintenance and reduces the life-cycle cost.
