Abstract

Abstract The steady state operation of a single phase current source inverter is analysed. A transition diagram for the modes is given. The equivalent circuits and differential equations for various modes are derived. A flow chart for the simulation of inverter operation with a counter EMF load is given. The results of simulation are given in detail in the form of normalised circuit waveforms. Experimental results are given for the inductive and the counter EMF (motor) type of loads.
