Abstract

In this paper, we propose to solve the digital control problem in hydraulic actuator using a stepper motor to obtain accurate control with fast response. The system include microprocessor, stepper motor driven jet valves and hydraulic cylinder. Modeling the system that describes the actuator operation and the digital strategies is crucial to developing a hydraulic smart actuator. The proposed the design and modeling methodology motivated by the solution of the parameter optimization problem of hydraulic actuator, is of general interest for electrical systems with discrete stepping characteristic can be established.
