Abstract
The article analyzes digital rights as an object of civil rights. Attention is drawn to the importance of amending the Civil Code of the Russian Federation in 2019 in terms of securing digital rights as an object of civil legal relations. This legislative decision is an important step for the development of the legal framework for the digital economy in Russia. At the same time, attention is drawn to the controversy of classifying digital rights as property rights. The importance of the blockchain for electronic document circulation and transactions was emphasized. Examples of new digital reality are given.
