Abstract

We present a numerical simulation of an all-optical AND logic gate utilising soliton formation in a planar waveguide with a parametric nonlinearity. We investigate switching performance as a function of input logic simultaneity and internal geometry. A highly digital response in the transmitted pulse energy is observed, with femtosecond time discrimination.
