Abstract

DARIAH-DE, the German national contribution to DARIAH-EU – a European initiative, initiated by the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI), which aims to enhance and support digitally-enabled research and teaching across the arts and humanities – develops and maintains a digital research infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities. This research infrastructure consists of four components: teaching, research, research data and technical modules. DARIAH-DE addresses current research questions and methods, integrates them into the digital research infrastructure, and is in particular research driven. The topic of “digital reconstruction” will be one of the most important new topics of DARIAH-DE and it will be one of the challenges to integrate tools and cover research-lifecycles of these specific communitiy.
