Abstract

Power spectra obtained in interferometry are distorted by aliasing when the spectrum of the radiation source extends beyond the maximum nominal frequency of the instrument. If the use of a conventional radiation filter is not sufficient, the aliasing can be removed by means of suitable digital processing (direct convolution) of the interferogram. Design techniques for a digital anti-aliasing filter are described.
