Abstract
Digital papillary adenocarcinoma (DPA) is a rare cutaneous tumor of eccrine origin that often presents as a papule or nodule on the dorsal aspect of a finger. It is challenging to diagnose due to the rarity, its benign appearance and lack of specific clinical or histological features. Excision is recommended given the malignant nature and recurrence rates are variable with metastases presenting in a significant percentage of patients. We present a case of a 49-year-old male with a DPA on his right long finger. We discuss this patients treatment course and the lack of standardized treatment guidelines. Further research is needed to establish evidence-based management strategies for DPA.
