Abstract
A digital multidiscriminator working in connection with an Intertechnique TRIDAC, 4096-channel analyzer, has been designed and put in operation. It allows to set either 8 gates of 4 channels each, 4 gates of 8 channels, 2 of 16 channels or 1 of 32 channels, with optional automatic background subtraction. A γ-γ coincidence system based on this multidiscriminator is described. The principles of operation and schematic circuit diagrams are presented and the results of a measurement of the excited states of 72As are shown for illustration.
