Abstract

A multi-meter is a voltmeter, an ammeter, and an ohmmeter combined into a single device. Digital multi-meters (DMM) have already replaced analog meters in electrical engineering. They are available in a wide variety of types and specifications. In this article, digital multi-meters are considered; basic terms such as accuracy, sensitivity, precision, and resolution are reviewed; and a few measurements are presented.
