Abstract

The paper highlights the importance of promoting and valorizing cultural heritage collections from cultural institutions, such as art galleries, libraries, archives, and museums, using the most recent I&CTs (Information and Communication Technologies), as well as identifying behavior patterns of visitors inside virtual exhibitions in order to provide them personalized content. The paper's objective is to highlight the influence of modern I&CTs in the cultural field, and the advantages provided by new tools, such as virtual exhibitions, in accessing, promoting, and valorizing cultural collections, especially in pandemic situations. Digital transformation is happening not only in cultural institutions but also in human beings. The concept of Digital Humanism is very popular and developed together with the COVID-19 pandemic evolution.
