Abstract

Digital holography (DH) is a technique based on a diffraction of light wave, which can record and numerically reconstruct a three-dimensional image of an object to be recorded. For industrial applications, the holographic interferometry for displacement, deformation, and profile measurements has been mainly studied so far. Here, I would like to give an overview of the measurement methods based on digital holographic interferometry for industry that we have conducted. The topic is mainly, analysis of drying process of films by holographic interferometry, surface profile measurement of the inner surface of straight pipes by two wavelength DH, analysis of hardening process of small ink dots by DH microscope, and analysis of car body coatings by low coherence DH. Through these holographic techniques, I would like to review the potential of digital holography for industrial applications.
