Abstract

ABSTRACT Using data from the ‘China Migrants Dynamic Survey’ in 2018, this paper finds that the digital economy helps to increase the income of migrant workers from rural China. This finding remains robust after instrumental variable estimation. This research complements the literatures about the impact of digital economy on migrant workers and has implications for promoting social integration of migrants in a digital society.
