Abstract

Digital control design using frequency response methods is discussed in this paper. Discrete frequency response design using Bode diagrams is used for getting the system dynamic performances. However, the calculations and drawing of the plots for the discrete systems is complex and require the computer usage. Another approach for digital control design using the frequency response methods, that is, the bilinear transformation, is also presented. This method is referred to as ψ-transformation and it allows the use of Bode techniques for hand plotting of the magnitude and phase of the frequency response.
