Abstract

The digestibility of fish meal, soybean meal, and casein by Penaeus monodon was determined in both brackish water (16 ppt) and in seawater (32 ppt). Casein was the most digestible protein, followed by soybean meal and fish meal; the differences were significant (P <: 0.05). Salinity did not affect the digestibility of casein and fish meal but did affect digestibility of soybean meal: It was significantly lower when P. monodon was raised at 32 ppt.
