Diffusivity of nitrogen in α-iron at high nitrogen potential at 773 k

Abstract

The diffusion coefficient of nitrogen in α-Fe has been well-documented in the literature. However such measurements under high nitrogen potentials have rarely been reported. In this investigation, the diffusivity of nitrogen in α-Fe at various high nitrogen potentials, attained by use of hydrogen—ammonia gas mixtures were measured by a thermogravimetric technique.
