Abstract

The diffusion coefficients in both water and heavy water, of some species of different charge and mass, have been evaluated by means of millicoulometric determinations. The experimental data are discussed on the basis of the Eyring theory: it can be inferred that the pre-exponential term of the equation, which describes the diffusion process, is in close connection with the entropy of both solvents.
