Abstract
This paper describes some applications of differential equivalent reactances of synchronous machines including the effects of a.v.r. Applications presented here are mainly the diffusion of reactive power perturbations, a non dynamic method to compute the new equilibrium point of an a.c. power system after a permanent disturbance and a local stability criterion.
