Abstract

A system of vortices is simulated as an oscillator gas with a certain temperature (rotation rate about axis). In the hydrodynamic approximation, the conditions at which diffusion anisotropy takes place in such gas are determined. For this case, longitudinal and transverse diffusion coefficients are determined and shown to be different. The cause of diffusion anisotropy is the Coriolis force arising due to rotation of vortices (oscillators).
