Abstract

Calculation results for diffusion combustion of a system of plane supersonic hydrogen jets in a supersonic flow are presented. The calculations are based on parabolized Navier–Stokes equations closed by the one-parameter (k – lω) model of turbulence and a multistage mechanism of hydrogen oxidation. The influence of the air-flow composition and fuel-injection methods on the shape of the flame front and combustion efficiency of hydrogen is analyzed.
