Abstract

The paper describes a wet/wet differential pressure transducer using a silicon diaphragm in direct contact with a conductive pressure medium. Several problems posed significant technical challenges: (i) dielectric isolation of the sensor; (ii) planarization of the face side of the sensor required for hermetic bonding; and (iii) electrostatic (anodic) bonding over the diffused channels.
