Abstract

Within the framework of diffuse tomography consider the special case of isotropy, i.e. the attenuation varies from pixel to pixel, but for each pixel the (conditional) probability of going to each one of its neighbours is the same, independent of direction. The author shows that for open and dense set of values of the unknown attenuation coefficients it is possible to determine them uniquely from boundary measurements.
