Abstract
Two cases of diffuse skeletal hemangiomatosis are presented, one benign, with unusual pulmonary involvement, and one malignant. The literature on skeletal hemangiomas is reviewed, particularly with reference to the previously recorded twenty-four cases of diffuse skeletal hemangiomatosis. The relation to other syndromes is discussed. The association with visceral involvement is emphasized as the main determinant of a serious prognosis. Hemangiomatosis restricted to the skeleton, despite its diffuse osteolytic and blastic roentgenologic appearance, is basically a benign condition. Treatment is briefly discussed.
