Abstract

The phase transition from the superionic to non-superionic state in a Cu1.8Se single crystal is studied by neutron diffraction. In the superionic state, a diffuse halo related to the disordering of the cation subsystem is observed. It is established that the phase transition from the superionic to non-superionic state is the diffuse first-order phase transition occurring in the temperature range 250–180 K.
