Abstract

The diffraction grating (DG) is the important component of the open resonant system (ORS) used in diffraction radiation oscillator (DRO). The amplitude-phase distribution behavior of the DG space harmonics in a frequency band determines the power and spectral DRO characteristics in many respects. The space harmonics amplitude of DG depends on matching of DG with ORS field. Earlier the problem of the matching of an open resonator field with inhomogeneity in the form of DG was resolved by several ways: one of the open resonator mirrors was completely covered by the DG (orotron), the phase matching of a grating with ORS field was achieved due to rising of the restricted DG above a smooth part of a mirror.
