Abstract

Exact analytic expression for Green's function of the Heimholtz equation for the half-strip and boundary conditions that contain high order derivatives is obtained by the method of expansion in terms of plane waves. This problem arises in the determination of the acoustic field created by a point source in a plane semi-infinite acoustic waveguide with thin elastic walls, and also inside an infinite acoustic waveguide with a thin elastic baffle.
