Abstract

We consider the problem of diffraction of a magnetoelastic shear wave on cylindrical inclusions in an unbounded dia(para)magnetic medium in the presence of a strong magnetic field. The resulting boundary-value problem is reduced to a system of singular integral equations, which is simulated numerically by the method of mechanical quadratures. Normal and tangential stresses on the interface are calculated both on the side of the matrix and on the side of the inclusion.
