The authors would also like to thank the comments by Parotto M et al and for their keen interest and answer their queries as follow: 1 The size selection of PLMA # 2.5 for a 13Kg child is not correct but for a 23Kg child it is correct as per the weight criteria recommended by the manufacturers. 2 The initial failure of PLMA #2.5, the authors would like to state that it could be related to narrow palate with an acute oropharyngeal angle. 3 The authors did perform the tests of correct placement of PLMA like suprasternal notch test, depth of bite block insertion etc. short of fiber optic scoring but the authors found a low airway seal pressure with PLMA # 2.
