Abstract

Occipital epilepsy is relatively uncommon and probably underdiagnosed, often misdiagnosed as migraine with aura. Early diagnosis requires clinical suspicion which leads the neurologist to advice electroencephalogram (EEG) and brain imaging, which are unnecessary in case of migraine with aura.
