Abstract

Marc Ellison, Ed.D., began working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder as an undergraduate student at Marshall University. There, Ellison collaborated with the West Virginia Autism Training Center, which in 2002 created the first university‐based support program for matriculated college students diagnosed with ASD. In 2013, Ellison became the executive director of the West Virginia Autism Training Center, which now supports more than 50 students per semester at Marshall.
