Abstract

We describe a modification of the algorithm for the fast approximate solution of the diffuse optical tomography inverse problem. In this modification the amount of a priori (auxiliary) information necessary for the visualisation of the internal structure of the object is reduced by using a differential measurement scheme. The experiment is performed at two different wavelengths, and some a priori information, necessary to reconstruct only the spectrally selective component of the internal structure (the difference structure of the spatial distributions of the extinction coefficient at the wavelength employed), is replaced by the data of one of these measurements.
