Abstract

With the increase in concern for global warming and the depletion in petroleum reserve, have increased the concern among the present researchers to look for an alternate resources of fiber as composite. And with time the use of natural fibre as composite have replaced petroleum and other non-decaying fibres. In this paper two composite laminate is made, first using untreated sponge gourd, treated coir and treated Palmyra palm petiole and another composite using untreated sponge gourd, treated coir and treated banana stem by hand-lay up technique. In this paper different ratios of resin and hardener (9:1, 8:2 and 7:3) are mixed with the fibers. The developed fiber reinforced composite were then characterized by tensile and flexural test. The results are taken and graphically represented.
