Abstract

: The article studies the category of expressiveness in its various expressions at different language levels in an unprepared oral dialogical discourse of representatives of three generations (young, middle-aged and older people) on the example of episodes of popular American talk shows. The functioning of expressiveness in colloquial speech is multidimensional, but the problem is not fully studied and represents a large field for research.
