Abstract
Supplementation of amino acids to in vitro culture media stimulates proliferation and supports development of mammalian preimplantation embryos, including mouse and human. Recently, it has been shown that availability of amino acids and activity of amino acids transporter (AAT) might be directly or indirectly related to the regulation of cellular physiology by modulating gene expressions and signal transduction pathways. In this study, we evaluated the expression patterns of AAT genes in mouse blastocysts and embryonic stem (ES) cells.
