Abstract

Differential cross sections for the production of the 478 keV γ-ray from the interaction of reactor fast neutrons with 7Li have been measured at 55°, 90° and 125° angles relative to the incident neutron beam. Secondary neutrons have also been observed at 0° and 180° by large NE-213 scintillation detectors. The direct time-of-flight (n,n′) cross section values were deduced at these two angles relative to the standard values of 847(2 +) keV level in 56Fe. The results were compared with the available experimental, theoretical and evaluated data.
