Abstract

By the use of perturbation theory to the second order, and pseudoscalar meson theory with pseudoscalar coupling, the differential and total cross sections for the scattering of antinucleons by nucleons are obtained. It is found that the cross section for charge-annihilation scattering is about $\frac{7}{3}$ that for normal scattering, and for both, a decrease of the cross section with increasing energy is obtained, and for a given energy the cross section decreases with increasing scattering angle. The results agree in general behavior and in order of magnitude with the available experimental data.
