Abstract

In this work, two-color pump-probe measurements, were performed to study the effect of the structural configuration on the excited state decay dynamics of dithienylethene photochromism systems under ring-closure state. Obvious different transient absorption dynamics were observed under parallel and perpendicular polarization configurations. The rising part of the perpendicular component probed at wavelength of 800nm was clearly delayed compared with the parallel component, indicating some overlap between pure excited state decay dynamic and some processes of other mechanism.
