Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical data of Cushing’s syndrome (CS) patients with different causes, and investigate the structure and function of left ventricle in CS patients so as to investigate the influencing factors. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 52 CS patients who were treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from June 2013 to October 2018. The left ventricular structure and function of patients with Cushing’s disease CD and adrenal adenoma (AA) were compared between the two groups. Results ① The diastolic blood pressure and low density lipoprotein (LDL) of CD patients were higher than those of AA patients (P 0.05). ④ The multiple linear stepwise regression model showed that the systolic pressure was the main influencing factor of LVMI, and the regression coefficient was 0.343 (P<0.05). Systolic blood pressure and fasting blood glucose were the main influencing factors of RWT, the regression coefficients were 0.513 (P<0.01) and 0.397 (P<0.05). Body mass index was the main influencing factor of EF, and the regression coefficient was 0.468 (P<0.01). High-density lipoprotein and serum potassium were the main influencing factors of SV, and their regression coefficients were -0.398 (P<0.05) and -0.304 (P<0.05). Conclusions The blood pressure, LDL and left ventricular EDV of CD patients are higher than those of AA patients, but there is no significant difference in left ventricular structure or function between the two groups. Blood pressure and blood glucose may be the main factors influencing left ventricular structure of CS patients. Key words: Cushing’s syndrome; Left ventricular structure; Heart function
