Abstract

AbstractTwo Cd-PSCs of water spinach were selected in order to reduce Cd content entering into food chain. The mechanisms of the cultivar-dependent Cd accumulation are worth studying. Various methods, such as differential display reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (DDRT-PCR) approach (Wang et al. 2019), suppression subtractive hybridization (SSH) (Huang et al. 2009) and comparative transcriptome analysis (Zhou et al. 2016; Huang et al. 2016), were used to investigate mechanisms of differential gene expression in cultivars. In this chapter, genes differentially expressed between the two water spinach cultivars were investigated by using SSH method.
