Abstract

Living with food allergy has been found to strain familial relationships, limit social activities and diminish quality of life. Past studies on the psychosocial consequences of pediatric food allergy on caregivers have focused overwhelmingly on mothers. This study describes the impact of pediatric food allergy on mothers and fathers, assessing the relationship between parental empowerment and food allergy quality of life (FAQOL).
